In 1971, after outgrowing the space at 81-87 Franklin Street, Lester Gorin moved the business to its new and present location at 49 New London Turnpike in Norwichtown. The company was renamed to the family name – Gorin’s Furniture
In our efforts to offer you a great selection and choice, we have not stopped growing. Over the years, our store has experienced eight major expansions and we are still growing.
Expansion highlights:
1980 – Built warehouse space on New London Tpk property and added 20,000 square feet of showroom space.
1985 - Added 5,000 more square feet of showroom space.
2000 - Built Distribution Center and moved warehouse operations to Bozrah, Ct.
2004 - Developed Gorin’s Furniture/United Way Southeastern Cooperative "Furniture Bank".
2007 – Grand opening of Gorin’s Clearance Outlet.
..…And Much More to Come.
We are very proud to be family owned and operated and acknowledge that our success would not be possible without great customers, a great staff and a lot of caring.
As we continue to grow and change, we are also very proud that our family values have remained the same. An example of these values is that we are closed on Sunday. When people ask how we can be closed on Sunday, the response is easy. "Sunday is family day at Gorin’s".
We appreciate your business. We are always working to provide you with a tremendous selection of value, quality merchandise and dedication to satisfying your home furnishing needs. Whether you are shopping or buying, we trust your visit is informative and exciting.
"You’ll see what you like and You’ll like what you see".
From our sales staff to our delivery teams, we mean it when we say "Thank you".
Sincerely,
Lester,
Glen and Wendy
